CAPAPA

The Canadian Association of Professional Access and Privacy Administrators (CAPAPA) is a unique association that is dedicated to the ongoing professional development, education and expanded expertise of individuals who work in the information access and privacy field. Incorporated in June, 2002, CAPAPA has members across Canada in both the private sector and all levels of government.

CAPAPA is proud to be a supporting association of the inaugural Atlantic Canada Access & Privacy Workshop 2007, in Halifax, NS this June 4 & 5. The national chair of CAPAPA, Carla Heggie, will again be speaking on this year's program and sits on the conference steering committee. Please visit their website at www.capapa.org for more details about CAPAPA and the programs they run and support.

CAPAPA has been created in response to the growing demand for information access and protection of privacy (IAPP) professionals in the private and public sectors. The Faculty of Extension of the University of Alberta has played a key role in helping to facilitate the creation of this professional association.
