Why should I attend?
Information is a valuable asset that any organization needs to manage properly in order to be effective, this you know. And as mentioned, IM continues to grow as a discipline. With this in mind, you will need the tools to properly manage your organization's information holdings, not only for your personal success, but the organization's as well.
Given the fact that we are recognizing an IM Community approach to initiatives such as: service standards, enterprise architectures, and program evaluation (all share an impact with IM), an "organizational" approach to information management only makes sense.
This work is a necessary step to ensure that:
- In the future, IM services will be an integral part of program/service delivery and transformation
- Organizations can and will leverage their investment in IM
- Inter-organizational interoperability is possible
- And we continue to develop and maintain capacity within the IM community
