CAPAPA is Canada’s leading national association representing Privacy and Access Professionals in the private sector and at all levels of the public sectors. Founded in 2002, CAPAPA is Canada’s voice of access and privacy and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the independent autonomy of Canada’s access and privacy community.
CAPAPA is an independent, member-based and non-profit NGO dedicated to advancing and increasing awareness of privacy and information access in Canada.
CAPAPA provides the only substantive Professional Certification for Access and Privacy Professionals in Canada; defined the National Competency Standards for Access and Privacy; and provides accreditation of training programs related to Access and Privacy.
Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association

The Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association (NSPA) is the voice and advocate for physiotherapists, physiotherapy support personnel, and physiotherapy students in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. As a provincial branch of a unified and proactive national organization, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), NSPA draws on expertise and resources from across Canada and in all areas of physiotherapy practice to:
- Provide services to our members;
- Advocate for physiotherapy with government, payors (such as WCB or other insurers), and other stakeholders; and
- Help the public to understand the role and benefits of physiotherapy in maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle; for preventing or recovering from disease or disability; and for maximizing quality of life for Nova Scotians of all ages and physical abilities.
Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation (NSHRF)

The mandate of the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation (NSHRF) is to foster health research throughout the province by assisting, collaborating with and funding individuals and organizations conducting health research; study matters consistent with the priorities identified by health boards, government, institutions and individuals and report its findings to the minister; and increase public knowledge and awareness of the foundation and its benefits.
NSHRF is committed to working collaboratively with the health research community and other stakeholders. Our shared goal is to invest the province's health research resources in a manner which will best serve to improve the health of Nova Scotians today and in the future.
The word "health" is defined broadly at NSHRF. We have accepted the Ottawa Charter definition of health as "a complete state of physical, mental, social and emotional well-being...a resource for living that enables people of all ages to realize their hopes and needs and to change or cope with the environments around them.
Nova Scotia Recreation Professionals in Health
The Nova Scotia Recreation Professionals in Health, is an Association that was formed on September 30, 1994. More than fifty (50) Recreation Professionals from all regions of Nova Scotia participated in the formation of this organization. N.S.R.P.H. allows for Recreation Professionals from around the province to communicate, network, share concerns and ideas, as well as advocate for the necessity and benefits of recreation in the health care system.
