Our association was formally established in 1980 and is a national organization of professionals who, as a result of their occupation are involved in the investigation or adjustment of fire losses. Our members include:

* Private Fire Investigators
* Barristers and Solicitors
* Other fire investigation professionals

Our organization promotes the thorough investigation of all fires in an effort to improve public safety, reduce loss of life and property damage by providing a forum for professional liaison to share ideas, experiences and information through educational seminars and our publication The Journal.

This association is 25 years old and progressing with 950 members this year.

 

George Brown - School of Emergency Management

In a new world reality, where natural disasters and terrorist activities are on the rise, an increased level of education and training in emergency management is essential. Our School of Emergency Management provides the education needed by both individuals and organizations. These courses and programs are taught by emergency management and disaster preparedness specialists and are guided by an advisory board of emergency management experts. Ontario Association of Police Educators

The goal of the Ontario Association of Police Educators is to foster a higher degree of knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of policing through discussion of mutual concerns and successes; to provide a forum for interaction between trainers and educators; to exchange information and promote new initiatives. Membership is restricted to police agencies and recognized training institutions involved in police education.
