BC Human Resources Management Association
The BC Human Resources Management Association (BC HRMA) is BC’s largest HR association. BC HRMA is dedicated to advancing professional people practices through professional development opportunities such as conferences, workshops, symposiums, and mentorship and volunteer programs. We provide leadership to more than 3,700 members and 2,500+ affiliates that collectively represent CEO’s, Directors of HR, consultants, educators, students, HR generalists, and small-business owners.
Established in 1942, BC HRMA is a founding member of the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations (CCHRA) and the exclusive grantor of the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in British Columbia.
Retail Council of Canada
Retail Council of Canada (RCC) is the "Voice of Retail" – the organization of choice for retailers in Canada.
Founded in 1963, Retail Council of Canada is a not-for-profit association representing more than 40,000 stores of all retail formats, including independent merchants, regional and national mass and specialty chains, and online merchants.
Retail Council of Canada provides advocacy, research, education and services that enhance opportunities for retail success, and increase awareness of retail's contribution to the communities and customers it serves.
Insurance Bureau of Canada
Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is the voice of the companies that insure the homes, cars and businesses of Canadians. IBC member companies provide about 90% of the non-government property and casualty insurance sold in Canada. IBC's activities include responding to opportunities to influence change in support of members' business needs, providing information services to members and insurance regulators, and providing investigative services to members
CAPAPA
The Canadian Association of Professional Access and Privacy Administrators (CAPAPA) is a unique association that is dedicated to the ongoing professional development, education and expanded expertise of individuals who work in the information access and privacy field. Incorporated in June, 2002, CAPAPA has members across Canada in both the private sector and all levels of government.

CAPAPA has been created in response to the growing demand for information access and protection of privacy (IAPP) professionals in the private and public sectors. The Faculty of Extension of the University of Alberta has played a key role in helping to facilitate the creation of this professional association.
The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants
The CICA, together with the provincial CA institutes/ordre, represent all CAs in Canada and Bermuda. The CICA conducts research into current business issues and supports the setting of accounting, auditing and assurance standards for business, not-for-profit organizations and government.
Developed jointly with the AICPA, Generally Accepted Privacy Principles (GAPP) is a global privacy framework designed to create a common North American privacy standard that takes into consideration international requirements. It is essential to the proper protection and management of personal information and provides suitable criteria against which a privacy audit can be performed.
