IM Awareness: Dipping into the TBS IM Awareness Tool Kit and how it can help you

How are you going to promote awareness about IM issues and concerns in your department?

The Treasury Board IM Strategy outlines the need for a change in IM culture across the government. IM awareness is critical to enabling this change and upcoming Management Accountability Framework (MAF) indicators will measure whether or not your department has a current IM awareness campaign.

If you don’t have an IM awareness campaign, are you ready to launch one? And if you do have an IM awareness campaign, are you able to sustain it or does it need to improve?

There is a solution to all these questions. It comes by way of the Treasury Board IM Awareness Tool Kit. In this session you’ll get a sneak preview of the TB IM Awareness Tool Kit, developed in consultation with departments across the government. You’ll dip into some of the initial activities suggested in the tool kit and get a head start on knowing what it takes to develop and sustain and IM awareness campaign that works for you.

By attending this workshop you will begin to:

  • Understand the difference between awareness and training
  • Understand the scope of work associated with promoting and sustaining awareness about IM issues and concerns
  • Recognize some of the IM issues and concerns at the GoC level and within your department
  • Explore key messages you can deliver that address IM issues and concerns
