An expert panel of researchers in the areas of privacy, youth and technology will present recent Canadian studies that provide insight into where efforts should be focused to best safeguard youth online privacy. Through their analyses, the presenters will help the audience better understand the role of the Internet and other communication technologies in the social lives of young people, their attitudes about privacy in the online environment, their perceptions about the risks associated with posting their personal information on the Internet and how Internet technologies are adding complexity to how current laws are used to address abuses against children and young people.
